Medilink East Midlands Ltd is seeking to recruit to a small team, offering a range of support activities to life science companies across the East Midlands as part of our delivery of projects part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Our team of Advisers have shared responsibility for covering the Midlands and East of England regions.
The Adviser’s main role will be that of client engagement and management. Working with small to medium sized businesses (‘clients’) operating in, or looking to move into, the life science sector, you will analyse client needs around innovation, identify opportunities and enable connections with suitable expertise to help the development and introduction of innovative products, services or processes.
A background in medical and/or digital technologies is essential, preferably with experience of developing new products or services. Individuals must be able to establish valued professional relationships with clients.
The successful applicant will show commercial awareness, particularly with respect to the SME sector; be highly motivated; and have industry experience within the healthcare/medical sector and preferably a relevant life sciences/biomedical related degree.
Experience of NHS procurement / processes is desirable; experience of working on publicly funded projects would be an advantage; experience of working with colleges and universities would be useful; but none are essential. The suitable candidate must be a conscientious, results-orientated team player.
We expect this role to be primarily home based, but attendance at Medilink’s offices in Nottingham will be required for team meetings and other business-related activities, dependant on current Medilink policy and covid restrictions. Part-time would be considered for the right candidate.
£38,000-42,000 (pro rata for part time)
